This Privacy Policy explains how Mathurs LLC (“we,” “us”), which owns and operates CollegePlanner360 (the “Service”), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions.
Account information you provide — name, email, and (for counseling) contact details. Profile information you choose to enter — grade, school, intended pathway, courses, activities, test scores, college list, applications, essays, and notes. Payment information is collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card number. Usage and device data — log data, device/browser type, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the Service.
To provide and personalize the Service (recommendations, planning, discovery, application and essay tools); to deliver counseling services you purchase; to process payments and send transactional emails (verification, receipts, order and account notices); to maintain security and prevent abuse; and to comply with law. We and our sister company Research Ignited LLC may also use your contact information to send you promotional information about our products, services, and offerings; you can opt out of these marketing messages at any time. We do not sell your personal information.
The Service is for users 13 and older.It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly. If you are under 18, please use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or delete a minor’s information.
We share information only as needed to run the Service: with a CollegePlanner360 counselor assigned to you (if you purchase counseling) or a counselor you explicitly approve; with service providers (such as hosting, email, and payment processing) under confidentiality obligations; with our affiliate Research Ignited LLC for the purposes described in this Policy (including telling you about relevant offerings); and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. Apart from the service providers and the affiliate named above, we do not share your personal information with any other third party, and we never sell it. If you connect a counselor or guardian, they may see the work you share with them; you control and can revoke that access.
The content you create remains yours. We process and display it only to operate the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with. We do not use your essays to write content for other users.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. While we maintain reasonable backups, we cannot guarantee against loss or corruption of data, and we recommend you keep your own copies of important materials such as your essays.
You may access and update most information in your profile, request a copy or deletion of your data, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Some transactional messages (e.g., security and billing notices) are required to use the Service.
The Service links to third-party sites (such as official university pages and public data sources). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we do not control.
